MATINI Hicham

Hicham Matini, painter born in 1987 in Tahla. Laureate of the National Institute of Fine Arts of Tetouan in 2014, the visual artist was directly interested in questions of visual representation.

Thanks to his avant-garde sensitivity, he becomes the master of a new form of abstract beauty, beyond surrealist art, which highlights the dialectic tradition / modernity, through popular references.

Hicham takes part of an emerging generation of Moroccan artists who advocate the reinvention of symbols of cultural memory, and the creation of a new visual language through oxymoronic paintings.

Since 2010, the artist has had several group exhibitions in Morocco and abroad to his credit.
